Prize & Awards

We have won prestigious awards, trophies, certificates and medals etc. from former kings, Prime Ministers, Ministers holding different portfolios, dignitaries and personalities such as Sir Edmund Hillary.

A)    We have received awards for having brought the largest number of foreign tourists to Nepal

B)    We have received awards for paying the highest tax and bringing the highest foreign revenue to the Government of Nepal

C)    We have been bestowed with prizes for pioneering many trekking routes, trails and itineraries. For example: Kanchenjunga, Ganesh Himal and different approach routes to none other than Mount Everest, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri. Also very remote places in Western Nepal like Jumla, Dailekh and Kalikot. We operated the first ever tourist groups in these regions, including Jumla and Mount Kailash

D)    In the field of community services, we have received several awards: firstly for pioneering environmental conservation by starting to use liquid fuel for cooking instead of firewood, which was destroying the pristine environment and ecosystem in the Himalayas. Also for establishing and promoting ecosystem workshops and seminars, which educate adventure industry personnel in conservation of the Himalayas

E)    Many awards and prizes have also been bestowed on us for Social Services, for example Staff & Porter Welfare, Environmental Concerns, Voluntary Donations, Blood Donation Camps, etc.

F)    We have also received awards for Staff Welfare and for starting to provide porters with clothing, providing shelter during treks, tents, sleeping bags, mattresses and other welfare schemes, helicopter evacuation, insurance for staff and porters, which were unheard of in the industry before us.

Unlike most managers of adventure companies, our Managing Director Mr. Ravi Chandra Hamal, has not only pioneered many trails and itineraries, but he himself has trekked most of the trekking routes in the Himalayas i.e. in Nepal, Tibet and India. And he has travelled to more than 60 countries worldwide.
